& COMMUNITY GROUPS The legends at Friend in Me bring you Coach Nick’s Draw Show. It is created to be an innovative blend of art class, game show and a coaches half time speech. It aims to inspire and encourage, while having lots of fun in the process. Developed by child empowerment cartoonist Nick Love, who has used cartooning to help him get though tough times. Coach Nick’s Draw Show is based on the hope and joy Nick has found in putting pencil to paper. It’s an interactive experience where everyone gets a pencil and paper to take part in the fun, where you get to harvest an idea, take a trip to your imagination and simply draw. Together with the very funny ‘’BLANK FACE’’ drawing game, where someone gets turned into a real life cartoon and ‘’HEROBOARD” where someone gets turned into a Superhero. You’ll even get to visit an IDEA FARM! Coach Nick’s Draw Show is like nothing else and don’t worry if you think you can’t draw, let Coach Nick show you some tricks. By holding a draw show or attending one, you are helping Nick spread his message of helping people to draw a better tomorrow, to draw hope and erase despair. |
Being a Draw Coach is more than just teaching someone to draw, its providing positive reinforcement - to encourage, empower, having someone to engage with that believes in them.
As Coach Nick, my aim is to equip people in the following areas, SELF EXPRESSION There is freedom in a blank piece of paper, to let go and express yourself. No matter what you draw, you are special and unique. So it stand to reason that your drawing is also special and unique. Every picture drawn is a step on the journey to the next one. EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT Drawing gives us the opportunity to explore our feeling visually, what we may not be able to put into words, we might be able to put it into a picture or symbol. STRESS RELIEF Drawing can provide a creative respite if you will, a place to escape whatever is going on in your life. You have the ability to draw whatever you can imagine, hopefully with the view it can bring you some joy. POSITIVE MINDSET Every picture drawn is an achievement, it would not of been created unless you drew it and there should be a sense of pride attached to that. Coach Nick aims to create positive minds and build greater self-esteem ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE The aim of every Coach Nicks Draw coaching session is to create a fun and enjoyable experience with a Draw coach that those his own life has used drawing as a way to deal with his own pain and dark times. 
Sometimes me need a bit more of a personal focus, Coach Nick's One On One Session does just that.
Each session is designed around the students interest and needs, helping create goals they can achieve or aspired to. These session can either be done in person or over zoom
